Sep 05, 2013 - GUILTY PLEA EXPECTED IN FATAL STETTLER CRASH (Koralea Boettger)

A judicial interim release (bail) hearing for Trevor Dahl was scheduled to take place tomorrow in Red Deer court.

Instead Dahl will appear in Red Deer court today at 1:30 pm to plead GUILTY to some of the original charges after a plea bargain was struck.

Victim impact statements and sentencing is expected to occur as well.

The family will comment following sentencing.

Dahl has remained in the Red Deer remand centre since the beginning of August after being arrested on new charges.

Dahl had a trial set for February 18, 2014 in Killam, Alberta to face previous charges of breach of bail conditions.

On March 11, 2014 he was to stand trial in Red Deer, Alberta on charges of impaired driving causing death, dangerous driving causing death and refusing to provide a sample of his breath to police investigating a fatal collision.

He is charged in the death of 17 year old Koralea Boettger

It was in February of 2012 when RCMP allege a truck crashed into some trees off a gravel road near Erskine, killing the Stettler teen.
