Sep 15, 2014 - BAIL HEARING PUSHED BACK FOR ALLEGED DRUNK DRIVER IN FATAL CRASH [Quinn Stevenson]

26-year-old facing seven charges in connection to 2013 death of 17-year-old boy

The 26-year-old man charged in connection with the death of a Saskatoon teen will wait a while longer to find out if he'll be released ahead of a trial.

17-year-old Quinn Stevenson died after a collision in the intersection of College and Circle Drives in August 2013.

Robin Tyler John of Duck Lake, Sask., is facing seven counts in connection to the incident. Among the charges: impaired driving causing death, driving with a blood alcohol level over .08 causing death, dangerous operation of a vehicle causing death and criminal negligence causing death.

He was due to have a bail hearing Monday morning in Saskatoon Provincial Court. However, a judge agreed to push the hearing date back to Sept. 24 after John's lawyer asked for more time to review information from the year-long police investigation that led to the charges.

In a previous appearance, the Crown indicated they will be arguing against John's release ahead of a trial.

John will remain in custody until his next bail hearing.
